We’re proud to announce that with the help of nearly 100 Local 1059 members, we raised $12,000 at our 2nd Annual Northern Members’ Charity Golf Tournament in Port Elgin on Saturday, July 8th! The total raised will be split evenly between United Way Bruce Grey and United Way Perth Huron, the two United Way agencies that provide meaningful supports and services to those who need it most in our northern catchment area.

A big thank you to each of our members who participated and showcased your community spirit. Congratulations to our winning team, Aaron Bastien, Chris Dwinnell and Jake Breutigam; closest to the pin winner Robert Palsa; and our longest drive winners, Katie Thede and Jake Breutigam!

Special thanks goes to Saugeen Golf Club for their hospitality and a great day, to Susan and Eva of United Way Perth Huron for volunteering your time and representing United Way out on the course, and to Utter Morris Insurance Brokers, Bruce Power, Bird Construction, and Chris Geberdt of the Owen Sound Salmon Spectacular for generously sponsoring our incredible course prizes.

Thanks also goes to the many amazing signatory contractors, companies, and organizations we partner with who donated a slew of great raffle prizes for attendees. We’re proud to have another successful northern tournament in the books, and we look forward to hosting an even bigger tournament in 2024!
