Chartered in 1953, the Labourers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA) Local 1059 represents workers in London, Middlesex, Elgin, Oxford, Huron, Perth, Grey and Bruce counties. Working for more than 300 different employers, our approximately 5,000 members include over 3,800 construction and 1,100 maintenance, light manufacturing and security employees.

Local 1059 Wellness Centre
Local 1059 sets the standard in member services. Our unique Wellness Centre in London offers on-site care exclusively for members and their dependents, including an optical centre, dental studio, and chiropractic/massage clinic. Billed directly to the Local 1059 Benefit Plan, these services come with no out-of-pocket costs. And even if members don’t use the clinics, they enjoy one of the strongest benefits packages in the industry.
Optical Centre
Our members-only Optical Centre provides comprehensive eye care for eligible members and their dependents, including exams, frames, lenses, contacts, and enhancements such as anti-scratch coating and transition lenses. All services are billed directly to the Local 1059 Benefit Plan, so members can receive care with no out-of-pocket costs.
Dental Studio
Our on-site Dental Studio provides a full range of dental care exclusively for members and their dependents. As a Diamond Plus Invisalign provider, the clinic is proud to offer cutting-edge orthodontic options alongside advanced dental technology. Chiropractic, Physiotherapy & Massage Clinic
Our on-site clinic offers chiropractic care, physiotherapy, and massage therapy exclusively for members and their dependents. With over a dozen massage therapists, four chiropractors, and two physiotherapists, the clinic provides comprehensive treatment options, from braces and orthotics to concussion testing and care. All services are billed directly to the Local 1059 Benefit Plan, so members can access treatment with no out-of-pocket costs.
