Availability

LiUNA Local 1059 dispatches apprentices to many different sectors of construction including formsetting, pipelaying, utility distribution, cement finishing, infrastructure construction, restoration and demolition to name a few. By signing below, you agree to be available for dispatching to work in any of the sectors that LiUNA Local 1059 directs you to as part of your apprenticeship.

The Applicant agrees as follows:

Falsification or misinterpretation of information on this application including omission of information could result in expulsion from any training, apprenticeship program, or membership in Labourers’ International Union of North America, Local 1059.

The Applicant further agrees that should he or she receive a job placement or membership, notwithstanding the wage rate paid for a classification contained within a collective agreement, that upon an assessment made in accordance with the procedures set by the Union or the Local Apprenticeship Committee, he or she shall for the purposes of needing additional training, agree to register with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (M.T.C.U.) as an apprentice to receive such training.
