To mark Giving Tuesday, a day that encourages giving back to the nonprofit organizations that enrich and support our communities, we’d like to spotlight several of the charities we have been honoured to support and build meaningful relationships with.

United Way Elgin Middlesex is an organization we have been proud to partner with for over 22 years. Over the span of more than 2 decades, and with the valued support of our membership and signatory and industry partners, we have donated more than $1.7 million from our annual charity golf tournaments, in addition to other fundraising initiatives like the annual Stair Climb. UW-EM is an organization that is central to the London and area community, and does so much critical work to provide a hand up to those living in poverty through their various programs and services, helping them to overcome challenges and thrive. Donate and learn more here:

We’ve also partnered with United Way of Bruce Grey and United Way Perth-Huron in 2022, both of which do incredible grassroots work serving vulnerable community members in our Northern catchment areas. We were proud to support these organizations in 2022 with a $10,000 donation split evenly between the two organizations, and we look forward to strengthening our relationship with each in the years to come. More recently, we’re been proud to partner with Youth Opportunities Unlimited by way of supporting the construction of their upcoming Joan’s Place project, which will help young mothers and youth experiencing or at risk of homelessness find the support, community, and resources they need to find bright, successful futures. To learn more and to make a donation, visit their website:

We’re also honoured to be a returning sponsor each year of the London Abused Women’s Centre, which provides direct supports to abused, assaulted, and exploited girls and women in our community through counselling and various support services. Donate and learn more here:

London Food Bank is another organization we’re privileged to partner with each year as a local charity that works tirelessly to tackle hunger. London Food Bank helps fill the gap for the members of our community who are at risk of hunger by providing critical resources like non-perishable goods and even fresh produce through a greenhouse we were honoured to help construct. An unprecedented number of Londoners have accessed The London Food Bank since the beginning of the pandemic, and the need only continues to rise.

Donations for non-perishable food items are currently being accepted at the bin in our front lobby, and if you are in a position to help, we encourage you to drop off items until Tuesday, December 20th.

You’ve also likely seen our recent posts about The TLC Foundation and Santa’s House, which we’re proud to support each year through a donation-matching initiative, whereby we match all proceeds from photos taken with Santa. All of the funds raised are allocated to making dreams come true for disadvantaged and ill children in our community year round, and we’re immensely proud to support this organization and initiative. Members, please refer to the email sent to you last week for the link to a special discounted rate for photos with Santa.
