2nd Annual Trades Awareness Day
We’re excited to be hosting our 2nd Annual Trades Awareness Day on May 25th! This event is geared toward those who like to work with their hands and want to learn more about fulfilling careers in the skilled trades. It’s also a good opportunity for those with prior construction experience who want to learn about the benefits of unionized construction work.
Participants can take a tour of our-state-of-the-art Training Centre, speak to certified, highly skilled training instructors, try their hand at a construction exercise, and learn about the great pay and benefits of becoming a Red Seal certified journeyperson and Local 1059 member.
We’ll have staff on hand to answer questions about the LiUNA Local 1059 Apprenticeship Program, a free, earn-while-you-learn, comprehensive apprenticeship built for those without prior construction experience who like to learn and work with their hands.
This is a walk-in event and no registration is required. Lunch from a food truck that will be on site is provided to those who complete the tour.
When: Saturday, May 25th 9am-3pm
Where: 635 Wilton Grove Road, London, ON
