We were very pleased to host our first Apprentice Recognition Dinner since 2019 on December 1st at the DoubleTree by Hilton in London! Local 1059 leadership, Training Instructors, Business Representatives and staff, industry partners, signatory contractors, Mayor of London Josh Morgan, and via video message –  Ontario Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training, and Skills Development Monte McNaughton were honoured to recognize and celebrate 50 apprentices who completed Advanced Level Trade School in 2022 and earned their Certificates of Apprenticeship. Along with Mayor Morgan and Minister McNaughton, Business Manager Brandon MacKinnon and Training Director Mike Ropp shared messages of pride and congratulations with our graduating apprentices, whose skills and hard work are quite literally building our communities. We’re incredibly proud of the achievements of our apprentices, and thankful for the invaluable partnerships we have established with our signatory contractors, who are central to the success of our apprentices. We wish each of you the very best in your careers going forward and we look forward to serving and representing you as part of the Local 1059 membership for many years to come!
